The Ethical Fitness® Seminar is the Institute for Global Ethics’ anchor training. Based on the bestselling book How Good People Make Tough Choices by Institute founder Rushworth M. Kidder, this popular 1-day seminar explores these basics of ethical decision-making in our daily lives – be it with our friends and families, in the course of our work, or as we help to shape our communities:
Becoming Ethically Aware – Consider the current ethical climate of the world we live in – and better understand the imperative of ethical practice
Defining Values –Identify and explore our most universally-shared values – and then rank them in a series of interactive (and surprising) group exercises
Analyzing Ethics – Delve into complex real-life situations where shared values compete with one another – those “right vs. right” decisions. Practice identifying these underlying tensions within the four fundamental “dilemma paradigms”
Resolving Dilemmas – Learn strategies for resolving the toughest ethical dilemmas we face by applying simple, but proven resolution principles
Ethical Fitness ®is akin to physical fitness – helping us become ever more “fit” to recognize and resolve the many “right vs. right” dilemmas that arise in our everyday lives!
More upcoming IGE Canada events will be announced soon …
