IGE UK Mission, Vision, and Values Statements
Vision
A world where shared moral values shape relationships, determine decisions, and guide actions for every individual, institution, and nation.
Mission
To promote ethical behaviour in individuals, institutions, and nations through research, public discourse, and practical action.
In the UK, this is pursued through four principal roles:
- As Convenor Initiating events to elevate public discussion and practical action within centres of influence at local and national level.
- As Educator Promoting the teaching of Ethical Fitness® to individuals, businesses, and other organisations; and encouraging education in values, citizenship, and character development for all ages.
- As Communicator Developing discussion about the individual rights and responsibilities of citizens, giving high priority to the practice of values and personal responsibility, not just to the theoretical agreement of what those values are.
- As Networker Co-operating with other agencies and organisations that pursue similar objectives.
Values
As a non-sectarian, global research and educational membership organisation, we strive always to be:
- Honest and truthful in all our dealings.
- Responsible and accountable in every transaction.
- Fair and equitable in each relationship.
- Respectful and mindful of the dignity of every individual.
- Compassionate and caring in each situation.
