Professional Development for Educators that ties it all together:
“I would say that people who go through the training will be affected in profound ways. It makes us look at our own behavior and it puts the ultimate responsibility where it belongs – at the individual level.” Dr. Lori Vollandt, Los Angeles Unified School District, Health Education Programs, Los Angeles, California, USA
This 3-day workshop puts capacity in place to roll out the Ethical Fitness® Seminar (EFS), district wide.
The EFS is a hands-on, fast-moving experience that unites administrators, faculty and staff around the broadest aims of education – preparing students to think and act ethically. The EFS helps everyone develop language and skills for upholding shared ethical values and for thinking through tough ethical dilemmas – the kind that face educators and students daily. Your district’s certified trainer will be licensed to deliver IGE’s unique and renowned process across your school system for years to come.
The Train-the-Trainer Workshop provides important conceptual background and skills — from ethics vocabulary, history, and philosophy to practice in fielding difficult questions, providing compelling examples, and sharing relevant anecdotes with EFS participants. Honing leadership and group development skills, the workshop helps new trainees build the confidence and capacity to effectively engage administrators, faculty and staff in the Ethical Fitness® process. Participants test their understanding of concepts, exercise their Ethical Fitness® muscles, explore different points of view, practice facilitation and discuss a variety of examples in depth.
Participants receive a detailed trainer's notebook with essential background and conceptual information as well as scripts, additional exercises, and tough questions, plus:
This training is a cost-effective way to provide Ethical Fitness® in your district. Participation fees and annual licensing fees are based on student enrollment numbers for your district. For more information: pmirk@globalethics.org
*Some restrictions apply: The Institute reserves the right to change or withdraw this offering at any time. Participation in the Ethical Fitness Seminar® is a pre-requisite.
