The BSC is a hands-on, fast-moving experience that unites administrators, faculty and staff around the broadest aims of education – preparing students to think and act ethically. The BSC helps everyone build awareness about why ethics matters, come together around their core ethical values and their common purpose in schools, and consider ways to forward ethics across their school culture. Your district’s certified trainer will be licensed to deliver IGE’s BSC process across your school system for years to come.

The Train-the-Trainer Workshop provides important conceptual background and skills — from ethics vocabulary, history, and philosophy to practice in fielding difficult questions, providing compelling examples, and sharing relevant anecdotes with BSC participants. Honing leadership and group development skills, the workshop helps new trainees build the confidence and capacity to effectively engage administrators, faculty, staff, and students in the Building School Culture™ process. Participants test their understanding of concepts, explore different points of view, practice facilitation and discuss a variety of examples in depth.

Participants receive a detailed trainer's notebook with essential background and conceptual information as well as scripts, additional exercises, and tough questions, plus:

  • How Good People Make Tough Choices by Rushworth Kidder
  • Membership in the Institute with active trainer status
  • Special discounts on all IGE products
