NAIS/IGE Schools of Integrity Initiative

Schools of Integrity ReportMany NAIS secondary schools are actively creating ethical learning communities, where core values are at the foundation of all academics and the goal is to graduate responsible global citizens. While these schools pride themselves on academic achievement, they are frequently distinguished by their rich, values-driven cultures. Attention to the moral, ethical, and values-based dimensions of their students was often a motivating impetus in establishing these schools.

NASBE/IGE Aligning Values and Practice: Standards for Balancing Athletics and Achievement in an Era of High School Reform

The Institute for Global Ethics, in collaboration with the National Association of State Boards of Education, undertook a prototype study funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to examine the relationship between athletics and achievement in the nation’s public schools. This Executive Summary appears as part of a larger report intended for publication in the Fall of 2006.

Young People Communicating Global Values:

Young People Communicating Global Values was a project designed to promote cross-cultural dialogue around values and community engagement among teenage youth in Canada, Guatemala, and Thailand.
