Camden Ethics Symposium™
The Ethics & Parenting Symposium - part of the Camden Ethics Symposium™ series, led by Institute president Rushworth Kidder, is a new offering from the Institute: a probing, discussion-based workshop on communicating ethics.
This symposium engages participants in focused dialogue on ways that adults can talk to children about ethical issues without sounding naïve, preachy, or old-fashioned. Built on the Institute’s years of research into frameworks for moral analysis, resolution, and implementation, the symposium addresses the uncertainty adults often feel about discussing integrity, character, morality, and values with youth. Participants will develop an expanded inventory of ethical concepts, a better sense of entry-points into ethical conversations, and an array of effective, age-appropriate examples.
